At any event there will be informal and spontaneous photographs that provide a record of the day; the mood, the joy and enjoyment experienced by those attending it is those that I try to capture. When I covered a corporate golf day, this was one of the responses:

“Stu quickly becomes part of the team at any event he photographs. Beautiful, creative pictures: it’s our members and guests who make the memories but it’s Stu who captures them for keeps”

Of course, when covering an event there may be particular, formal photographs that should be captured as when I covered the Remembrance Day Parade in Northampton or the Northamptonshire Courts’ Service with senior civic leaders and judges of the Senior Courts, but, even then, there will be opportunities to capture the interactions that illustrate and give an in-sight to the day.

After covering an event supporting the nominated charity of the Mayors of Northampton and Thrapston one of the organisers wrote: “We have some amazing reminders of the event” but I also try to let viewers of the photographs know what it was like to be there… to have a sense of being at the event.

Perhaps some of the busiest and most varied events that I have covered recently have been boxing & MMA events in support of Cancer Research UK. In addition to capturing the action in the ring, there were also opportunities to move around the venue taking photographs of the spectators. Another corporate day that I have covered was an all-day multi-pitch 5-a-side football competition; this was another day which was extremely busy taking formal team photographs as well as action shots. With each of these examples my experience is that people like to see the ‘human moments’ that give the essence of the day.

A lot less energetic than covering sport-related corporate events, I have also visited customers’ sites to photograph their premises – sometimes after refurbishment – so that they can update their social media images; a lot less shoe-leather is used on such assignments! So whether it is a conference, a public event, a corporate sports event or any other event that you are planning, drop me a line so discuss how I might record you event for you and to have a conversation about your requirements to establish the style of photographs that you would like so that, when covering the event, I can take care of the photographs while you take care of those attending your event.

We can arrange a no-obligation conversation by phone/Zoom at a time convenient to yourself. We would discuss what you wanted to see as well as the location/staging for the photographs. From there, if you wanted to proceed with me taking your photographs, we will confirm the date and time for me to I come to you, camera in hand!

Digital images would be edited and submitted to you within 72 hours – if you wished to have some
